ضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلذِّلَّةُ أَيْنَ مَا ثُقِفُوٓا۟ إِلَّا بِحَبْلٍ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَحَبْلٍ مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَبَآءُو بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْمَسْكَنَةُ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ يَكْفُرُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ ٱلْأَنۢبِيَآءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوا۟ وَّكَانُوا۟ يَعْتَدُونَ
Humiliation is struck over them wherever they are found, except by a bond from God and a bond from people. They have drawn on themselves anger from God, and wretchedness is struck over them. That is because they kept refusing God's signs and killing the prophets without right; that is because they disobeyed and kept overstepping.
وہ جہاں بھی پائے جائیں ان پر ذلت مسلط کر دی گئی ہے، سوائے اس کے کہ انہیں اللہ کی طرف سے یا لوگوں کی طرف سے کوئی عہد و پناہ حاصل ہو۔ انہوں نے اللہ کا غضب اپنے اوپر لے لیا اور ان پر محتاجی مسلط کر دی گئی۔ اس کی وجہ یہ ہے کہ وہ اللہ کی نشانیوں کا انکار کرتے رہے اور ناحق انبیاء کو قتل کرتے رہے؛ اور یہ اس وجہ سے ہوا کہ وہ نافرمانی کرتے اور حد سے بڑھتے رہے۔
