زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ مِنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ وَٱلْبَنِينَ وَٱلْقَنَٰطِيرِ ٱلْمُقَنطَرَةِ مِنَ ٱلذَّهَبِ وَٱلْفِضَّةِ وَٱلْخَيْلِ ٱلْمُسَوَّمَةِ وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ وَٱلْحَرْثِ ذَٰلِكَ مَتَٰعُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱللَّهُ عِندَهُۥ حُسْنُ ٱلْمَـَٔابِ
Made beautiful to people is the love of the things they desire: women and sons, heaped-up hoards of gold and silver, branded horses, cattle and tilled land. All of that is the enjoyment of the life of this world; it is with God that the best return is.
لوگوں کے لیے ان کی من پسند چیزوں کی محبت خوبصورت بنا دی گئی ہے: عورتیں اور بیٹے، سونے اور چاندی کے جمع کیے ہوئے ڈھیر، نشان لگے ہوئے عمدہ گھوڑے، مویشی اور کھیتی باڑی۔ یہ سب اس دنیا کی زندگی کا سامان ہے، جبکہ اللہ کے پاس ہی سب سے اچھا ٹھکانا ہے۔
