وَمَا كَانَ لِنَبِىٍّ أَن يَغُلَّ وَمَن يَغْلُلْ يَأْتِ بِمَا غَلَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ثُمَّ تُوَفَّىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ
It is not for any prophet to defraud; whoever defrauds will come carrying what he took on the Day of Resurrection. Then every soul is paid in full what it earned, and they are not wronged. The commentaries carry the same occasion: a missing piece of spoils, and a whisper that reached even the Prophet — answered by declaring the thing unthinkable of prophethood itself.
کسی نبی کی یہ شان نہیں کہ وہ خیانت کرے؛ اور جو خیانت کرے گا وہ قیامت کے دن وہی چیز اٹھائے ہوئے آئے گا۔ پھر ہر جان کو اس کے کیے کا پورا پورا بدلہ دیا جائے گا اور ان پر ظلم نہیں ہوگا۔ مفسرین اسی موقع کا ذکر کرتے ہیں: مال غنیمت کا ایک ٹکڑا گم ہو گیا تھا، اور یہ وسوسہ خود نبی کریم تک بھی پہنچ گیا تھا — جس کا جواب یہ دیا گیا کہ ایسی بات خود نبوت کے شایانِ شان ہی نہیں۔
