هُمْ دَرَجَٰتٌ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرٌۢ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ
They are of different degrees with God, and God sees what they do. The commentaries read the degrees as running both ways: ranks above for those who pursued His good pleasure, and ranks below for those who returned carrying His displeasure, each placed by what he actually did.
وہ اللہ کے ہاں مختلف درجوں کے مالک ہیں، اور اللہ دیکھ رہا ہے جو وہ کرتے ہیں۔ مفسرین ان درجوں کو دونوں طرف پھیلا ہوا بیان کرتے ہیں: اوپر کے درجے ان کے لیے جو اس کی رضا کے پیچھے چلے، اور نیچے کے درجے ان کے لیے جو اس کی ناراضگی لے کر لوٹے، ہر ایک کو اس کے اصل عمل کے مطابق جگہ ملی۔
