لَتُبْلَوُنَّ فِىٓ أَمْوَٰلِكُمْ وَأَنفُسِكُمْ وَلَتَسْمَعُنَّ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوٓا۟ أَذًى كَثِيرًا وَإِن تَصْبِرُوا۟ وَتَتَّقُوا۟ فَإِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عَزْمِ ٱلْأُمُورِ
You will surely be tested in your wealth and your selves, and you will surely hear much hurt from those given the Scripture before you and from those who set up partners with God. But if you are patient and guard yourselves — that is of the matters that demand resolve.
تم اپنے مالوں اور اپنی جانوں میں ضرور آزمائے جاؤ گے، اور تم سے پہلے کتاب دیے گئے لوگوں سے اور شرک کرنے والوں سے بہت سی تکلیف دہ باتیں ضرور سنو گے۔ لیکن اگر تم صبر کرو اور تقویٰ اختیار کرو تو یہ ان کاموں میں سے ہے جن کے لیے پختہ ہمت درکار ہے۔
