وَإِذْ أَخَذَ ٱللَّهُ مِيثَٰقَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ لَتُبَيِّنُنَّهُۥ لِلنَّاسِ وَلَا تَكْتُمُونَهُۥ فَنَبَذُوهُ وَرَآءَ ظُهُورِهِمْ وَٱشْتَرَوْا۟ بِهِۦ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا فَبِئْسَ مَا يَشْتَرُونَ
When God took the covenant of those given the Scripture: you shall make it clear to people and not conceal it. But they threw it behind their backs and bought a small price with it — and evil is what they bought.
جب اللہ نے کتاب دیے جانے والوں سے یہ عہد لیا: تم اسے لوگوں پر ضرور واضح کرو گے اور اسے نہیں چھپاؤ گے۔ لیکن انہوں نے اسے اپنی پیٹھوں کے پیچھے پھینک دیا اور اس کے بدلے تھوڑی سی قیمت خرید لی — اور بہت برا ہے جو انہوں نے خریدا۔
