ٱلَّذِينَ يَذْكُرُونَ ٱللَّهَ قِيَٰمًا وَقُعُودًا وَعَلَىٰ جُنُوبِهِمْ وَيَتَفَكَّرُونَ فِى خَلْقِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَٰذَا بَٰطِلًا سُبْحَٰنَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ
Those who remember God standing, sitting, and on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth: our Lord, You did not create this in vain — glory be to You — so guard us from the punishment of the Fire. The commentaries hold the two acts together: remembrance in every posture, and thought about the making of things, each feeding the other.
وہ لوگ جو کھڑے، بیٹھے اور اپنے پہلوؤں کے بل لیٹے ہوئے اللہ کو یاد کرتے ہیں، اور آسمانوں اور زمین کی تخلیق میں غور و فکر کرتے ہیں: اے ہمارے رب، تو نے یہ سب بے مقصد نہیں بنایا — تیری ذات پاک ہے — سو ہمیں آگ کے عذاب سے بچا لے۔ مفسرین ان دونوں کاموں کو ایک ساتھ رکھتے ہیں: ہر حالت میں یاد، اور چیزوں کی ساخت پر غور، ہر ایک دوسرے کو تقویت دیتا ہے۔
