إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱصْطَفَىٰٓ ءَادَمَ وَنُوحًا وَءَالَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَءَالَ عِمْرَٰنَ عَلَى ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
God chose Adam, and Noah, and the family of Abraham, and the family of Imran above all people. The commentaries read the choosing in one way: He placed prophethood in their line, so that what came after them came through them.
اللہ نے آدم، نوح، آل ابراہیم اور آل عمران کو تمام جہانوں پر منتخب فرمایا۔ مفسرین اس چناؤ کو ایک ہی معنی میں لیتے ہیں: اس نے نبوت کو ان کی نسل میں باقی رکھا، تاکہ ان کے بعد جو کچھ آیا وہ انہی کے ذریعے آیا۔
