هُنَالِكَ دَعَا زَكَرِيَّا رَبَّهُۥ قَالَ رَبِّ هَبْ لِى مِن لَّدُنكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ ٱلدُّعَآءِ
There and then Zachariah called upon his Lord: my Lord, grant me from Your presence good offspring; You are the Hearer of prayer. He had seen provision come to Mary out of season, and understood that the One who can do that can give a child in old age.
وہیں زکریا نے اپنے رب کو پکارا: اے رب، مجھے اپنے پاس سے ایک پاکیزہ اولاد عطا فرما، بے شک تو ہی دعا سننے والا ہے۔ انہوں نے دیکھا تھا کہ مریم کے پاس بے موسم رزق آتا ہے، اور سمجھ گئے کہ جو ایسا کر سکتا ہے وہ بڑھاپے میں بھی اولاد دے سکتا ہے۔
