وَإِذْ قَالَتِ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ يَٰمَرْيَمُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱصْطَفَىٰكِ وَطَهَّرَكِ وَٱصْطَفَىٰكِ عَلَىٰ نِسَآءِ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
And when the angels said: Mary, God has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above the women of the worlds. The commentaries take the last phrase as the women of her own time.
فرشتوں نے کہا: اے مریم، اللہ نے تمہیں چن لیا اور تمہیں پاک کر دیا اور تمہیں دنیا جہان کی عورتوں پر فضیلت دی۔ مفسرین اس آخری فقرے کو ان کے اپنے زمانے کی عورتوں کے معنی میں لیتے ہیں، یعنی صرف ان کے دور کی عورتیں مراد ہیں۔
