إِذْ قَالَتِ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ يَٰمَرْيَمُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكِ بِكَلِمَةٍ مِّنْهُ ٱسْمُهُ ٱلْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ وَجِيهًا فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَمِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ
When the angels said: Mary, God gives you good news of a word from Him whose name is the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, honoured in this world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near. The commentaries note that he is called son of Mary here, to her face, because he would have no father.
فرشتوں نے کہا: اے مریم، اللہ تمہیں اپنی طرف سے ایک کلمے کی بشارت دیتا ہے جس کا نام مسیح عیسیٰ ابن مریم ہوگا، دنیا اور آخرت میں معزز اور اللہ کے قریبی بندوں میں سے ہوگا۔ مفسرین نوٹ کرتے ہیں کہ یہاں انہیں صرف مریم کی طرف منسوب کیا گیا، ان کے سامنے، کیونکہ ان کا کوئی باپ نہیں ہوگا۔
