رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْوَهَّابُ
Our Lord, do not let our hearts swerve after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from Your presence; You are the Bestower. The prayer follows straight on from the ayah before it: having seen how hearts go crooked, the believers ask to be kept from it.
علم میں پختہ لوگ کہتے ہیں: اے ہمارے رب، ہمیں ہدایت دینے کے بعد ہمارے دلوں کو ٹیڑھا نہ ہونے دے، اور اپنی طرف سے ہم پر رحمت نازل فرما، بے شک تو ہی سب سے بڑا عطا کرنے والا ہے۔ یہ دعا پچھلی آیت سے سیدھا جڑی ہوئی ہے: دلوں کے ٹیڑھے ہو جانے کا ذکر دیکھ کر مومن اسی سے بچنے کی دعا مانگتے ہیں۔
