إِنَّ أَوَّلَ بَيْتٍ وُضِعَ لِلنَّاسِ لَلَّذِى بِبَكَّةَ مُبَارَكًا وَهُدًى لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ
The first house set up for mankind is the one at Bakka — Mecca — blessed, and a guidance for the worlds. The commentaries carry the answer it gives together: the Kaaba precedes Jerusalem, so the qibla the believers face is the older sanctuary, not the newer.
لوگوں کے لیے بنایا گیا پہلا گھر وہی ہے جو مکہ میں ہے، برکت والا اور جہانوں کے لیے ہدایت۔ مفسرین اس آیت کا جواب یوں سمجھتے ہیں: کعبہ بیت المقدس سے پہلے کا ہے، اس لیے مومنوں کا قبلہ پرانا مقدس مقام ہے، نیا نہیں۔
