يَعْلَمُونَ ظَٰهِرًا مِّنَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ عَنِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ هُمْ غَٰفِلُونَ
They know an outward part of the life of this world: its trade and its farming, when to sow and when to reap, how to gather and how to build. And of the world to come they are heedless; it does not cross their minds.
یہ لوگ دنیا کی زندگی کا صرف ظاہری پہلو جانتے ہیں، جیسے تجارت اور کھیتی باڑی، کب بونا ہے اور کب کاٹنا ہے، اور کس طرح جمع کرنا اور تعمیر کرنا ہے۔ لیکن آخرت کے بارے میں وہ بالکل غافل ہیں، اور یہ بات کبھی ان کے ذہن میں آتی ہی نہیں کہ ان سے اس کا حساب بھی لیا جائے گا۔
