أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَانُوٓا۟ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَأَثَارُوا۟ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَعَمَرُوهَآ أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا عَمَرُوهَا وَجَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
Have they not travelled through the land and seen how those before them ended? They were stronger in power than these, and they turned the earth over and built on it more than these have built, and their own messengers came to them with plain proofs. God did not wrong them; it was they who wronged themselves.
کیا انہوں نے زمین میں سفر کرکے یہ نہیں دیکھا کہ ان سے پہلے لوگوں کا انجام کیا ہوا؟ وہ ان سے کہیں زیادہ طاقتور تھے، انہوں نے زمین کو زیادہ جوتا اور اسے آباد کرکے ان سے بڑھ کر تعمیرات کیں، اور ان کے اپنے رسول ان کے پاس واضح دلائل لے کر آئے۔ اللہ نے ان پر کوئی ظلم نہیں کیا تھا، بلکہ وہ خود اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کر رہے تھے۔
