وَإِذْ قَالَت طَّآئِفَةٌ مِّنْهُمْ يَٰٓأَهْلَ يَثْرِبَ لَا مُقَامَ لَكُمْ فَٱرْجِعُوا۟ وَيَسْتَـْٔذِنُ فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُمُ ٱلنَّبِىَّ يَقُولُونَ إِنَّ بُيُوتَنَا عَوْرَةٌ وَمَا هِىَ بِعَوْرَةٍ إِن يُرِيدُونَ إِلَّا فِرَارًا
And when a group of them said: people of Yathrib, which is the land of Medina, there is no holding your ground here, so go back. And a party of them asked the Prophet's leave, saying their houses stood open to the enemy. They did not stand open. They wanted nothing but to run.
اور اس وقت کو یاد کرو جب ان منافقوں میں سے ایک جماعت نے کہا کہ اے یثرب والو یعنی مدینہ والو! یہاں تمہارے ٹھہرنے کی کوئی جگہ نہیں پس واپس چلے جاؤ۔ اور ان میں سے ایک گروہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے یہ کہہ کر واپسی کی اجازت مانگتا تھا کہ ہمارے گھر کھلے اور غیر محفوظ ہیں، حالانکہ وہ ایسے نہ تھے، بلکہ اس بہانے سے وہ صرف جنگ سے بھاگنا چاہتے تھے۔
