وَلَقَدْ كَانُوا۟ عَٰهَدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مِن قَبْلُ لَا يُوَلُّونَ ٱلْأَدْبَٰرَ وَكَانَ عَهْدُ ٱللَّهِ مَسْـُٔولًا
And they had already made a covenant with God that they would not turn their backs. And a covenant made with God is one a person is asked about keeping.
اور یہ منافق اس جنگ سے پہلے اللہ سے یہ عہد کر چکے تھے کہ وہ کبھی میدان سے پیٹھ پھیر کر نہیں بھاگیں گے، اور اللہ سے کیا گیا عہد ایسی چیز ہے جس کے بارے میں انسان سے قیامت کے دن ضرور پوچھا جائے گا۔
