يَٰنِسَآءَ ٱلنَّبِىِّ لَسْتُنَّ كَأَحَدٍ مِّنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ إِنِ ٱتَّقَيْتُنَّ فَلَا تَخْضَعْنَ بِٱلْقَوْلِ فَيَطْمَعَ ٱلَّذِى فِى قَلْبِهِۦ مَرَضٌ وَقُلْنَ قَوْلًا مَّعْرُوفًا
Wives of the Prophet, you are not like any other group of women, if you are mindful of God: your standing is higher than theirs. So do not be soft in the way you speak, in case a man with a sickness in his heart should be drawn on by it. Speak in the way that is fitting.
اے نبی کی بیویو! تم عام عورتوں جیسی نہیں ہو اگر تم اللہ سے ڈرتی رہو، پس اجنبی مردوں سے بات کرتے وقت نرم لہجہ اختیار نہ کرو تاکہ جس کے دل میں کوئی بیماری ہو وہ لالچ نہ کرے، اور سیدھی اور مناسب بات کہو۔
