لِّيَسْـَٔلَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ عَن صِدْقِهِمْ وَأَعَدَّ لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا
So that He may ask the truthful about their truthfulness in delivering the message, which is itself a reproach to those who refused them. And He has prepared for those who refuse a painful punishment.
ہم نے یہ پختہ عہد انبیاء سے اس لیے لیا تاکہ اللہ قیامت کے دن سچوں سے ان کی سچائی کے بارے میں پیغام پہنچانے پر پوچھے، اور یہ سوال دراصل ان لوگوں کے لیے ملامت ہے جنہوں نے انہیں جھٹلایا اور ان کی دعوت رد کر دی۔ اور اللہ نے ان کافروں کے لیے جنہوں نے ان رسالتوں کو ٹھکرا دیا دردناک عذاب تیار کر رکھا ہے۔
