لَقَدْ حَقَّ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَىٰٓ أَكْثَرِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Against most of them the word has already proved true - the sentence of punishment has fallen due, the commentaries gloss, after the truth was set before them and refused. They do not believe.
ان میں سے اکثر لوگوں پر اللہ کا فیصلۂ عذاب ثابت ہو چکا ہے، اس لیے اب وہ ایمان نہیں لائیں گے۔ یہ ان کی اپنی ضد اور ہٹ دھرمی کا نتیجہ ہے کہ حق سامنے آنے کے بعد بھی انہوں نے انکار ہی کو اپنائے رکھا، اور اللہ ان کے دلوں کے حال سے واقف تھا۔
