يَعِدُهُمْ وَيُمَنِّيهِمْ وَمَا يَعِدُهُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ إِلَّا غُرُورًا
He promises them and fills them with hopes — and Satan promises them nothing but delusion. The commentaries describe the promise the same way: showing benefit in the very thing that carries the harm.
وہ ان سے وعدے کرتا ہے اور جھوٹی امیدیں دلاتا ہے، حالانکہ شیطان جو بھی وعدہ کرتا ہے وہ محض دھوکہ ہے۔ مفسرین اس وعدے کو ایک ہی طرح بیان کرتے ہیں: نقصان والی چیز میں ہی فائدہ دکھا دینا۔
