مَّن كَانَ يُرِيدُ ثَوَابَ ٱلدُّنْيَا فَعِندَ ٱللَّهِ ثَوَابُ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ سَمِيعًۢا بَصِيرًا
Whoever wants the reward of this world — with God is the reward of this world and the Hereafter, and God is hearing, seeing. The commentaries press the same question: why settle for the lesser of the two, when the greater is at the same door and carries the lesser with it?
جو کوئی صرف دنیا کا اجر چاہتا ہو، تو اللہ ہی کے پاس دنیا اور آخرت دونوں کا اجر ہے، اور اللہ سننے والا، دیکھنے والا ہے۔ مفسرین یہی سوال اٹھاتے ہیں: جب دونوں کچھ کا اجر ایک ہی در پر ملتا ہے اور بڑا اجر چھوٹے کو بھی ساتھ لے آتا ہے، تو کم پر کیوں قناعت کی جائے؟
