وَقَوْلِهِمْ إِنَّا قَتَلْنَا ٱلْمَسِيحَ عِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ رَسُولَ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ وَمَا صَلَبُوهُ وَلَٰكِن شُبِّهَ لَهُمْ وَإِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱخْتَلَفُوا۟ فِيهِ لَفِى شَكٍّ مِّنْهُ مَا لَهُم بِهِۦ مِنْ عِلْمٍ إِلَّا ٱتِّبَاعَ ٱلظَّنِّ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ يَقِينًۢا
and for their saying: we killed the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, the messenger of God — and they did not kill him and they did not crucify him, but it was made to seem so to them. Those who differ about it are in doubt of it; they have no knowledge of it, only the following of conjecture. They certainly did not kill him.
یہودیوں نے فخر کے ساتھ دعویٰ کیا کہ ہم نے اللہ کے رسول مسیح عیسیٰ بن مریم کو قتل کر دیا، حالانکہ نہ انہوں نے انہیں قتل کیا اور نہ سولی پر چڑھایا، بلکہ معاملہ ان کے لیے مشتبہ کر دیا گیا۔ جنہوں نے اس بارے میں اختلاف کیا وہ سب شک میں پڑے ہوئے ہیں، انہیں یقینی علم نہیں بلکہ محض گمان کی پیروی ہے، اور یقیناً انہوں نے انہیں قتل نہیں کیا۔
