إِنَّمَا ٱلتَّوْبَةُ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ لِلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ ٱلسُّوٓءَ بِجَهَٰلَةٍ ثُمَّ يَتُوبُونَ مِن قَرِيبٍ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يَتُوبُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا
Repentance with God is only for those who do evil in ignorance and then turn back soon after. Those are the ones God turns to, and God is knowing, wise. The commentaries read soon after the same way: any time before death is actually upon a person is soon.
اللہ کے ہاں توبہ صرف انہی لوگوں کی قبول ہوتی ہے جو نادانی سے کوئی برائی کر بیٹھیں اور پھر جلد ہی توبہ کر لیں، ایسے ہی لوگوں کی طرف اللہ متوجہ ہوتا ہے، اور اللہ خوب جاننے والا اور بڑی حکمت والا ہے۔ مفسرین اس جلدی کو ایک ہی طرح سمجھتے ہیں: موت کا وقت آنے سے پہلے کا ہر لمحہ جلدی ہی شمار ہوتا ہے۔
