يَٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَا تَغْلُوا۟ فِى دِينِكُمْ وَلَا تَقُولُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ إِلَّا ٱلْحَقَّ إِنَّمَا ٱلْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ وَكَلِمَتُهُۥٓ أَلْقَىٰهَآ إِلَىٰ مَرْيَمَ وَرُوحٌ مِّنْهُ فَـَٔامِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦ وَلَا تَقُولُوا۟ ثَلَٰثَةٌ ٱنتَهُوا۟ خَيْرًا لَّكُمْ إِنَّمَا ٱللَّهُ إِلَٰهٌ وَٰحِدٌ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥٓ أَن يَكُونَ لَهُۥ وَلَدٌ لَّهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ وَكِيلًا
People of the Scripture, do not go to excess in your religion, and say nothing about God but the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only the messenger of God, and His word which He delivered to Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in God and His messengers, and do not say Three — stop, it is better for you. God is only one God; glory be to Him, that He should have a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and God is enough as a trustee.
اے اہل کتاب! اپنے دین میں حد سے نہ بڑھو، اور اللہ کے بارے میں سچ کے سوا کچھ نہ کہو۔ مسیح عیسیٰ بن مریم تو صرف اللہ کے رسول ہیں، اور اس کا وہ کلمہ ہیں جو اس نے مریم کی طرف بھیجا، اور اس کی طرف سے ایک روح ہیں۔ سو اللہ اور اس کے رسولوں پر ایمان لاؤ، اور یہ نہ کہو کہ تین ہیں، باز آ جاؤ، یہی تمہارے لیے بہتر ہے۔ اللہ تو بس ایک ہی معبود ہے، وہ اس سے پاک ہے کہ اس کی کوئی اولاد ہو۔ آسمانوں اور زمین میں جو کچھ ہے سب اسی کا ہے، اور اللہ ہی کارساز کے طور پر کافی ہے۔
