ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَضْلُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ عَلِيمًا
That is the bounty from God, and God is enough as one who knows. The commentaries make the same point about the word bounty: the company named in the ayah before is a gift given, not a rank earned by the deeds themselves.
یہ اللہ کی طرف سے فضل ہے، اور اللہ جاننے والے کے طور پر کافی ہے۔ مفسرین اسی بات پر زور دیتے ہیں کہ لفظ فضل سے کیا مراد ہے: پچھلی آیت میں بیان کی گئی رفاقت ایک عطیہ ہے جو دیا جا رہا ہے، یہ محض اعمال کے بدلے کمایا ہوا درجہ نہیں ہے۔
