وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُقَٰتِلُونَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ ٱلرِّجَالِ وَٱلنِّسَآءِ وَٱلْوِلْدَٰنِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْ هَٰذِهِ ٱلْقَرْيَةِ ٱلظَّالِمِ أَهْلُهَا وَٱجْعَل لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيًّا وَٱجْعَل لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ نَصِيرًا
And what is the matter with you, that you do not fight in the way of God and for the weak among the men, women and children who say: our Lord, take us out of this town whose people are wrongdoers, and appoint for us from Your presence a protector, and appoint for us from Your presence a helper? The commentaries name the town together: Mecca, and the believers held there who could not leave.
اور تمہیں کیا ہو گیا ہے کہ تم اللہ کی راہ میں اور ان کمزور مردوں، عورتوں اور بچوں کی خاطر نہیں لڑتے جو کہتے ہیں: اے ہمارے رب، ہمیں اس بستی سے نکال جس کے لوگ ظالم ہیں، اور ہمارے لیے اپنی طرف سے کوئی حامی مقرر فرما، اور ہمارے لیے اپنی طرف سے کوئی مددگار مقرر فرما۔ مفسرین اس بستی کا نام ایک ساتھ لیتے ہیں: مکہ، اور وہاں روکے گئے وہ مومن جو نکل نہیں سکتے تھے۔
