مَّن يُطِعِ ٱلرَّسُولَ فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ ٱللَّهَ وَمَن تَوَلَّىٰ فَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظًا
Whoever obeys the Messenger has obeyed God; and whoever turns away — We did not send you as a keeper over them. The commentaries give the same reason the two obediences are one: the Messenger conveys, and the one commanding and forbidding is God.
جو کوئی رسول کی اطاعت کرے، اس نے اللہ کی اطاعت کی۔ اور جو کوئی منہ موڑ لے، تو ہم نے تمہیں ان پر نگہبان بنا کر نہیں بھیجا۔ مفسرین دونوں اطاعتوں کے ایک ہونے کی یہی وجہ بیان کرتے ہیں: رسول تو صرف پہنچانے والا ہے، اور حکم دینے اور روکنے والا اصل میں اللہ ہی ہے۔
