فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ عَسَى ٱللَّهُ أَن يَعْفُوَ عَنْهُمْ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَفُوًّا غَفُورًا
Those — it may be that God will pardon them; God is pardoning, forgiving. The commentaries hold the wording carefully: the exemption is stated as a hope, not as a right, because the ones excused are excused for an inability and not for a choice.
سو امید ہے کہ اللہ انہیں معاف کر دے، اور اللہ درگزر کرنے والا، بہت بخشنے والا ہے۔ مفسرین اس الفاظ کا بہت خیال رکھتے ہیں: یہ رخصت امید کے طور پر بیان کی گئی ہے، حق کے طور پر نہیں، کیونکہ جن کو معذور سمجھا گیا وہ عاجزی کی وجہ سے معذور ہیں، اپنی مرضی کی وجہ سے نہیں۔
