أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَانُوا۟ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَانُوا۟ هُمْ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَءَاثَارًا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَاقٍ
Have they not travelled in the land and seen what became of those before them? They were stronger than these in power and in the traces they left in the land, yet God seized them for their sins, and they had no protector from God.
کیا انہوں نے زمین میں چل پھر کر نہیں دیکھا کہ ان لوگوں کا انجام کیا ہوا جو ان سے پہلے تھے؟ وہ ان سے طاقت اور زمین میں چھوڑی گئی نشانیوں میں کہیں زیادہ سخت تھے، پھر بھی اللہ نے انہیں ان کے گناہوں کی وجہ سے پکڑ لیا، اور انہیں اللہ سے بچانے والا کوئی نہ تھا۔
