وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن نَّبِىٍّ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
and no prophet came to them but they used to mock him - said, the commentaries note, to comfort the Prophet about his own people.
