فَلَوْلَا نَصَرَهُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ قُرْبَانًا ءَالِهَةًۢ بَلْ ضَلُّوا۟ عَنْهُمْ وَذَٰلِكَ إِفْكُهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ
Then why did those they had taken as gods to bring them near not help them? No - they failed them utterly. That was their lie and what they used to invent.
پھر ان معبودوں نے ان کی مدد کیوں نہ کی جنہیں انہوں نے اللہ کے سوا اپنا تقرب حاصل کرنے کا ذریعہ بنا رکھا تھا؟ بلکہ وہ اس وقت ان سے کھو گئے اور غائب ہو گئے، اور یہی ان کا جھوٹ اور من گھڑت عقیدہ تھا۔
