وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَتْ سُورَةٌ فَإِذَآ أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ مُّحْكَمَةٌ وَذُكِرَ فِيهَا ٱلْقِتَالُ رَأَيْتَ ٱلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَيْكَ نَظَرَ ٱلْمَغْشِىِّ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلْمَوْتِ فَأَوْلَىٰ لَهُمْ
And those who believe say: if only a surah were sent down. Then when a surah of clear command is sent down and fighting is mentioned in it, you see those with sickness in their hearts looking at you with the look of one fainting at death. So woe to them.
اور مومن جہاد کے سخت احکام کی جلدی مچاتے ہوئے کہتے ہیں: کوئی سورت کیوں نازل نہیں ہوتی جس میں جہاد کا حکم ہو؟ پھر جب کوئی واضح اور دو ٹوک سورت نازل ہوتی ہے جس میں جہاد کا ذکر ہوتا ہے، تو تم دیکھتے ہو کہ جن کے دلوں میں نفاق کی بیماری ہے وہ تمہیں اس طرح دیکھتے ہیں جیسے موت کے قریب بےہوش ہونے والا دیکھتا ہے، تو یہی ان کے لیے مناسب اور ان کا حق ہے۔
