بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَوْفُوا۟ بِٱلْعُقُودِ أُحِلَّتْ لَكُم بَهِيمَةُ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ إِلَّا مَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ غَيْرَ مُحِلِّى ٱلصَّيْدِ وَأَنتُمْ حُرُمٌ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَحْكُمُ مَا يُرِيدُ
You who believe, fulfil the contracts you have bound yourselves by. The grazing animals are made lawful for you, except what is recited to you, and except game while you are in the state of pilgrimage. God decrees what He wills. The commentaries read the opening word as widely as it will go: every bond a person enters into, with God and with people.
اے ایمان والو، اپنے عہد و پیمان پورے کرو، مفسرین نے اس لفظ کو نہایت وسیع معنوں میں لیا ہے کہ اس میں اللہ سے کیا ہوا ہر عہد اور بندوں کے آپس کے معاہدے سب شامل ہیں۔ چوپائے تمہارے لیے حلال کیے گئے سوائے ان کے جن کا ذکر آگے آئے گا، اور احرام کی حالت میں شکار کرنا منع ہے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ جو چاہتا ہے حکم فرماتا ہے، اور یہی اس کی حکمت بالغہ ہے۔
