إِنِّىٓ أُرِيدُ أَن تَبُوٓأَ بِإِثْمِى وَإِثْمِكَ فَتَكُونَ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلنَّارِ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَٰٓؤُا۟ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
I would rather you carried my sin and your own sin and became one of the companions of the Fire; and that is the recompense of wrongdoers.
میں چاہتا ہوں کہ تو میرا گناہ اور اپنا گناہ اٹھا کر لے جائے اور آگ والوں میں سے ہو جائے، اور ظالموں کی یہی سزا ہے۔ مفسرین اسے یوں سمجھتے ہیں کہ مقتول بھائی نے قتل کا گناہ خود پر لینے کی بجائے اسے قاتل ہی پر چھوڑ دینا چاہا۔
