يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلرَّسُولُ لَا يَحْزُنكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْكُفْرِ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَلَمْ تُؤْمِن قُلُوبُهُمْ وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ سَمَّٰعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ سَمَّٰعُونَ لِقَوْمٍ ءَاخَرِينَ لَمْ يَأْتُوكَ يُحَرِّفُونَ ٱلْكَلِمَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَوَاضِعِهِۦ يَقُولُونَ إِنْ أُوتِيتُمْ هَٰذَا فَخُذُوهُ وَإِن لَّمْ تُؤْتَوْهُ فَٱحْذَرُوا۟ وَمَن يُرِدِ ٱللَّهُ فِتْنَتَهُۥ فَلَن تَمْلِكَ لَهُۥ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يُرِدِ ٱللَّهُ أَن يُطَهِّرَ قُلُوبَهُمْ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا خِزْىٌ وَلَهُمْ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
Messenger, do not let those who race into refusal grieve you, from among those who say with their mouths we believe while their hearts have not believed, and from among those who became Jews: listeners to falsehood, listeners for another people who have not come to you, shifting words out of their places, saying: if you are given this then take it, and if you are not given it then beware. Whoever God wants to test, you have no power for him against God at all. Those are the ones whose hearts God does not want to purify; theirs is disgrace in this world, and in the Hereafter theirs is a tremendous punishment.
اے رسول، جو لوگ کفر کی طرف دوڑ پڑتے ہیں وہ آپ کو غمگین نہ کریں، خواہ وہ ان میں سے ہوں جو اپنے منہ سے کہتے ہیں ہم ایمان لائے حالانکہ ان کے دل ایمان نہیں لائے، یا یہود میں سے جو جھوٹ سننے کے عادی ہیں، ایک ایسی قوم کی خاطر سننے کے عادی ہیں جو آپ کے پاس آئی ہی نہیں، وہ کلمات کو ان کی جگہوں سے ہٹا دیتے ہیں، کہتے ہیں کہ اگر تمہیں یہ فیصلہ دیا جائے تو لے لو ورنہ بچ کر رہو۔ اور جسے اللہ آزمانا چاہے تو تو اس کے لیے اللہ کے سامنے کچھ اختیار نہیں رکھتا۔ یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جن کے دل اللہ نے پاک کرنا نہیں چاہا، ان کے لیے دنیا میں رسوائی اور آخرت میں بہت بڑا عذاب ہے۔
