وَأَنِ ٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ وَٱحْذَرْهُمْ أَن يَفْتِنُوكَ عَنۢ بَعْضِ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَٱعْلَمْ أَنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ أَن يُصِيبَهُم بِبَعْضِ ذُنُوبِهِمْ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَفَٰسِقُونَ
And judge between them by what God has sent down, and do not follow their desires, and beware of them, that they do not tempt you away from part of what God has sent down to you. If they turn away, know that God wants to strike them for some of their sins; and many people have broken out of obedience.
اور آپ ان کے درمیان اللہ کے نازل کردہ حکم کے مطابق فیصلہ کریں اور ان کی خواہشات کی پیروی نہ کریں، اور ان سے بچتے رہیں کہیں وہ آپ کو اس میں سے کسی چیز سے نہ پھیر دیں جو اللہ نے آپ کی طرف نازل کی ہے۔ پھر اگر وہ منہ موڑ لیں تو جان لیں کہ اللہ انہیں ان کے کچھ گناہوں کی وجہ سے سزا دینا چاہتا ہے، اور بہت سے لوگ نافرمان ہیں۔
