لَقَدْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَٰقَ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَأَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهِمْ رُسُلًا كُلَّمَا جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌۢ بِمَا لَا تَهْوَىٰٓ أَنفُسُهُمْ فَرِيقًا كَذَّبُوا۟ وَفَرِيقًا يَقْتُلُونَ
We took the covenant of the Children of Israel and sent messengers to them. Every time a messenger came to them with what their souls did not desire, they called some liars and some they killed.
یقیناً ہم نے بنی اسرائیل سے عہد لیا اور ان کی طرف رسول بھیجے، جب بھی کوئی رسول ان کے پاس وہ چیز لے کر آیا جسے ان کے دل پسند نہیں کرتے تھے تو انہوں نے ایک گروہ کو جھٹلا دیا اور ایک گروہ کو قتل کر ڈالا۔
