مَّا ٱلْمَسِيحُ ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ إِلَّا رَسُولٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِ ٱلرُّسُلُ وَأُمُّهُۥ صِدِّيقَةٌ كَانَا يَأْكُلَانِ ٱلطَّعَامَ ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ نُبَيِّنُ لَهُمُ ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ ثُمَّ ٱنظُرْ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ
The Messiah son of Mary was only a messenger; messengers had passed away before him, and his mother was a woman of complete truthfulness. They both used to eat food. See how We make the signs clear to them, and then see how they are turned away. The commentaries read the detail about food as the argument itself: what needs feeding is not what is worshipped.
