وَمَا لَنَا لَا نُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ وَمَا جَآءَنَا مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَنَطْمَعُ أَن يُدْخِلَنَا رَبُّنَا مَعَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
And why should we not believe in God and the truth that has come to us, when we long for our Lord to bring us in with the righteous people? The commentaries set it as their answer to those who reproached them for believing.
اور ہمیں کیا ہوا کہ ہم اللہ پر اور اس حق پر ایمان نہ لائیں جو ہمارے پاس آ چکا ہے، جبکہ ہم امید رکھتے ہیں کہ ہمارا رب ہمیں نیک لوگوں کے ساتھ داخل کرے گا۔ مفسرین اسے ان کا اپنا وہ جواب بتاتے ہیں جو انہوں نے اپنے ایمان لانے پر ملامت کرنے والوں کو دیا۔
