وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَةً لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ
And We left in it a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. The commentaries read the sign as the mark of what happened there, left standing so that those who came after would not do the same.
اور ہم نے اس بستی میں ایک نشانی چھوڑ دی ان لوگوں کے لیے جو دردناک عذاب سے ڈرتے ہیں۔ مفسرین نے اس نشانی سے مراد وہاں پیش آنے والے واقعے کے آثار لیے ہیں، جو اس لیے باقی رکھے گئے تاکہ بعد میں آنے والے لوگ ویسا نہ کریں۔
