وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُم بِإِيمَٰنٍ أَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَمَآ أَلَتْنَٰهُم مِّنْ عَمَلِهِم مِّن شَىْءٍ كُلُّ ٱمْرِئٍۭ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٌ
And those who believed and whose offspring followed them in faith - We join their offspring to them, and take nothing away from their own work. Every man is held in pledge for what he has earned. Both traditions carry the same report here: God raises the children of a believer to his rank, though their own deeds fall short of it, so that his eye is gladdened by them.
اور جو ایمان لائے اور جن کی اولاد نے ایمان میں ان کی پیروی کی - ہم ان کی اولاد کو ان کے ساتھ ملا دیتے ہیں، اور ان کے اپنے عمل سے کچھ بھی کم نہیں کرتے۔ ہر شخص اپنی کمائی کے بدلے میں گروی ہے۔ دونوں روایتیں یہاں ایک ہی روایت لاتی ہیں: اللہ مومن کی اولاد کو اس کے درجے تک اٹھا دیتا ہے، اگرچہ ان کے اپنے اعمال اس تک نہ پہنچتے ہوں، تاکہ اس کی آنکھ ان سے ٹھنڈی ہو جائے۔
