أَعِندَهُۥ عِلْمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ فَهُوَ يَرَىٰٓ
Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? The commentaries fill in what he would need to see - that another man can carry his punishment for him in the world to come, which is what he had been promised.
