وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ هُمْ أَظْلَمَ وَأَطْغَىٰ
And the people of Noah before that. They were more given to wrong and more insolent than the others, and the commentaries connect this to the length of time Noah stood among them: a lifetime of calling that changed nothing.
اور اس سے پہلے قومِ نوح کو بھی۔ وہ دوسری قوموں سے زیادہ ظالم اور زیادہ سرکش تھے، اور مفسرین نے اسے نوح علیہ السلام کے ان کے درمیان طویل عرصے تک قائم رہنے سے جوڑا ہے: ایک پوری زندگی کی دعوت جس نے کچھ نہ بدلا۔
