وَفَجَّرْنَا ٱلْأَرْضَ عُيُونًا فَٱلْتَقَى ٱلْمَآءُ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرٍ قَدْ قُدِرَ
And We made the earth burst open with springs, and the waters met for a matter already decreed. The commentaries name the two waters plainly - the water of the sky and the water of the earth - and the matter decreed as the drowning that had been settled long before.
اور ہم نے زمین کو چشموں کے ساتھ پھاڑ دیا، اور پانی ایک ایسے معاملے کے لیے آپس میں مل گئے جو پہلے ہی مقرر کیا جا چکا تھا۔ مفسرین نے دونوں پانیوں کا صاف نام لیا ہے: آسمان کا پانی اور زمین کا پانی، اور مقرر شدہ معاملے سے مراد وہ غرق ہونا ہے جو بہت پہلے سے طے کیا جا چکا تھا۔
