أَكُفَّارُكُمْ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكُمْ أَمْ لَكُم بَرَآءَةٌ فِى ٱلزُّبُرِ
Are those of you who refuse better than those others? Or do you have an exemption written for you in the books? The commentaries put the question at its sharpest: those peoples were not excused, and nothing has been set down that would excuse these.
