وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَآ أَشْيَاعَكُمْ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ
And We have destroyed those like you before. So is there anyone who will take heed? The commentaries gloss the word as those who matched them in refusing, among the peoples that have gone.
