لَا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا تَأْثِيمًا
They hear no idle talk there, and nothing that brings sin. The commentaries take the first word as speech that is worthless or foul and the second as anything a person would be held to account for - the whole class of harmful speech is gone, not merely policed.
وہ وہاں نہ کوئی لغو بات سنیں گے اور نہ کوئی گناہ کی بات۔ مفسرین پہلے لفظ کو بیکار یا گندی گفتگو کے معنی میں لیتے ہیں، اور دوسرے کو ایسی ہر بات جس پر انسان سے حساب لیا جائے - نقصان دہ کلام کی پوری قسم ہی وہاں سے ختم کر دی گئی ہے، صرف روکی نہیں گئی۔
