لَّا بَارِدٍ وَلَا كَرِيمٍ
Neither cool nor kind. The commentaries take both words as the answer to that: it does not do what shade does, and there is no good in it of any sort - the Arabs deny a thing all praise by denying it this word.
نہ ٹھنڈا اور نہ ہی خوشگوار۔ مفسرین دونوں الفاظ کو اس کے جواب کے طور پر لیتے ہیں: نہ وہ سایہ جیسا کام کرتا ہے، اور نہ اس میں کسی قسم کی کوئی بھلائی ہے - عرب کسی چیز سے ہر تعریف چھیننے کے لیے یہی لفظ اس سے نفی کر دیتے ہیں۔
