وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنكُمْ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تُبْصِرُونَ
And We are nearer to him than you are, but you do not see. The commentaries gloss the nearness by knowledge and power rather than by place, and the not-seeing as not perceiving rather than not looking.
اور ہم اس سے تمہاری نسبت زیادہ قریب ہیں، مگر تم دیکھ نہیں سکتے۔ مفسرین اس قربت کی تشریح علم اور قدرت سے کرتے ہیں، مکان سے نہیں، اور نہ دیکھ سکنے کی تشریح ادراک نہ ہونے سے کرتے ہیں، نگاہ نہ ہونے سے نہیں۔
